I still can't get the hang of it after all these years, I was out of school before the conversion kicked in....I still use inches and yards when I sew, I haven't a clue about about the metric system.....sometimes I watch the Buffalo news just to see what the temp is

Me too.  In one of our cars we have the temperature on the rear view mirror.  Hubby sets it to celsius; I set it to fahrenheit.

I spent age 10-15 living in Chicago and I always convert to farenheit and have NO clue about the metric system.
Acutally that's kinda sad :(

Since I work in a school, I have to get use to the metric system. I still like to convert kilos to pounds, but have gotten use to the temperature stuff.
Recipes, I like in cups and tsps., etc.

Interesting.  I grew up in the US so always did the "old" system.  I've now lived in Canada for 30+ years and think in metric these days.  I do have all my kitchen measuring stuff in both as I have some old cookbooks......

I've lived in Canada all my life but I'm stuck half way between each system.  I think in pounds, not kilos.  But Litres, not gallons.  I use cups/tsp, not mls., and celsius not farenheit.  I use miles and kilometres, and I use inches and centimetres.

Honestly Lori, I can't remember.  I just know I'm exactly like Anna, I keep switching back and forth. The temperature, I think only in celsius now, but when it comes to weight, I think in pounds.  David says it's just because I'm stubborn!!   Cheesy
