Great idea Lori and easy to do. We all have penny jars or some facsimilar thereof and it would be easy to drop them in one of those machines the day before attending an event such as Pug Claus!. I'm in!

Hi Everyone; I'm putting together 2 big tin cans with lids and pretty designer outer wear the second tin will be for Canadian Tire Money that collects and stays at home when you go to shop at Canadian Tire; cause you and I know that it never is remembered, stashed in that drawer or money sock and then you get to Canadian Tire, pay for your purchases again and voila there is some more CT money to land in a drawer or money sock or the car glove compartment or your wallet or purse......... collect it from all your nook and crannies and bring it to an Event and drop it in the tin can!! These little bits and pieces laying around collecting dust will make a big difference to a Pug who comes to the Rescue with nothing! It will buy bowls, leashes, harnesses, Medical Tx, anything that they need!! So in the Spirit of Christmas giving, dig deep into that couch and pull out all those pennies, dig deep into your pockets and pull out that CT money and donate donate donate!! Check out "Quarter month" in the Fundraising Archives - if you don't believe that this will make a difference?? A collection of $358.25 was gathered from loose change!! Now that is something!!!

How about something kiddies in the schools could get into, especially with the pennies and these economic times? My kiddies thought about calling something, "Pennies for Pugs" and doing it in their schools? The pennies would be instructed to be pre-rolled of course by the parents. The penny pinching would help educate the kids (and parents) the importance of saving money, even a penny and how just that small an act could make the difference in the life of even one pug!

I am in for doubling up on this as well. I still have to go through my husband's car, he said if I take them out, I can have them for the pugs (his car sounds like your sister's Lori). He's got a whole cupholder full of them!
I never used to take my penny change from when I got a coffee, but now that I am saving them for a purpose, I gladly take them! And I agree, every little thing, even a penny, can make a difference keep on pugging!

Sure makes it easy peasy to p/up and run before anyone catches you "thiefing" for a good cause Lori

Kids are always finding pennies, it's us adults that have a hard time, for we usually spend ours too quickly or can't see them without our glasses, plus children are closer to the ground than we?

The penny cash-in for pugalug is a great idea. I think I might make Carolyn very happy and cash in my pennies for pugalug -- you peeps don't want to do a contest with me on this one, it's been _years_ ... I have multiple stashes of them, will try and find them all and get into a place with a change machine between now and Pugentine.
