There is a store there called All Creatures Great and Small, it's at 30 King St. W. They also have one in Peterborough and I know they sell frozen raw complete diets.

I am doing a little dance here because I just found a new source for ground chicken bones, turkey and green tripe east of Toronto. I have been driving an hour and a half each way to north of Peterborough to get ground chicken bones at .99/lb. Lately, because cottage country is not so busy, I can only get small orders when I go and you gotta figure that I go through a LOT of food with 8 dogs in the house.

So this morning I heard from a lady in Bowmanville who runs a raw feeding coop. She gets ground chicken "frames" for .75/lb and whole chicken frames for $6 in a 30-lb box. She also has turkey necks, wing tips and backs and green tripe (usually beef). She's in this to encourage people to feed raw, not to make a buck.

Her next shipment will be coming in Dec 8th so you'll need to order now. If you want her email addy, PM me.

This woman also volunteers for TinyPaws Rescue so is well-known in the rescue world. Her website is www.yourbestfriendsfood.com

Does anyone know where I can get green tripe (in the GTA)? I can find the white tripe, but I was told that they didn't have any nutritional value for dogs.

I buy it in the can at Global Ryans Pet food. (As soon as I open the can the pugs start spinning and jumping)

I don't know where you live, but alot of smaller pet supply stores carry it. there is a brand called Tripett (I think) and my guys love it.

Healthy Paws sells raw green tripe. It comes ground and is frozen. I get it at Planet Dog at Warden and Kingston Road.

I've seen green tripe...in pet food stores....one actually. Global Pet Foods in Markham - - - Hwy 7 & 16th Avenue - - (Tim Hortons is in the same plaza). They have it in cans and yes, it's GREEN tripe.

Urban Carnivore also has green tripe pre-ground and frozen in 8 oz. patties, six to a box. Very convenient.  Any good pet food store should stock it or be able to get it for you.
