I haven't heard of bananas being a problem, although I think any food could be. Apparently people (and presumably dogs) who are allergic to bananas are often allergic to latex! and ragweed.

Just a word about my experience with banana. They all love banana and I swear they can hear one being peeled blocks away. Ringo and banana DO NOT MIX. It took me a bit to put 2 and 2 together. Even the smallest piece of banana sends him into a downward spiral of the runs and gas. I don't know if it's got something to do with the potassium throwing off his balance but he can't handle it.

Have anyone's pug has problem with blueberries before? My mom treated Pugsly with some (over 10) blueberries last Thur thinking that the fruit, believing to be good to human, should be good to dogs as well. Since then, he started having softer poo and then diarrhoea. The urge was getting so frequent and eventually the poo turned to blood instead on Sat.
Not knowing what happened and worrying about more serious thing, I took him to the vet right away. After an anal examination and knowing that he didn't have any change in his usual diet and treat, the vet concluded that it would be too much blueberries which are very rich in fibres that causing the over-active bowel movement. Since the anus and the intestine will expand when defecate, too frequent bowel movements ruptured the blood vessels. He was given medication to help in healing the wound and asked not to feed him too full to reduce his urge of pooing to let the intestinal wall rest to heal.
The poo changed from watery to soft. He is still having that pooing urge more than normal and pooing nothing but blood in the last few batches. I've changed the medication and it seems improving. The vet said if he's still pooing blood in the coming few days, I have to take him back to do a more thorough check into his intestine. Hopefully he'll get back to normal soon. All these time, he never shown any sign of weakness or pain and that's the lucky part.
He always has orange (his favourite) and apple and sometimes a few of other fruits. I thought fruits are ok for dogs and never thought a few blueberries can cause such a dramatic reaction.
I'm posting here to see if anyone has similar experience with bludberries and if not, got to watch out for it. My other dog, a Cocker Spaniel was having the same but it didn't seem to affect him.
Can anyone give me some feedback...thanks.

Doesn't really matter what caused it..its how to stop it....give boiled white rice and chicken breast...that will stop it...Heidi had the same prob a couple of weeks ago after I fed her Souvlaki...you need to stop the pooing..rhe white rice will do that.

I dropped a container of blueberries a few months ago and the pugs had a free-for-all. I cleaned them up as quickly as I could, but they got a lot. Then I had to clean up the diarrhea for several days. UGH!
I sometimes put them into the Breakfast Slop and put in too many on the last batch (you'd think I would have learned my lesson!) and they had mild diarrhea again. I had to add pumpkin to minimize the effects because I was not going to throw out a week's worth of Slop (42 portions).

Lesson learned: everything in moderation.

Thank you guys for the feedback.
Actually the vet did suggest to feed Pugsly with steam rice and lean chicken meat. I did for the first two days and even try with the macaroni too but the poor guy was not used to eating soft food so ended up he only ate the chicken meat and left behind the rice. So this didn't work for him to stop the diarrhoea.
Anyway, the second medication seems working out. His poo is not really normal but at least better now. I think he should be fine soon.
I agree with what 16paws said: everything in moderation. I'll keep that in mind.
