Myself and my wife have had to make the hardest decision of our lifes together and that is saying good bye to our first dog, Diamond, today. After 14 wonderful years together it is time to let him go to the Bridge...Diamond was my first dog ever and i am going to so miss him. good bye my old friend...you brought countless moments of joy and moments of aggravation and moments of terror when you decided to wander off on your own. Your pain is at an end.

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts...he was originally booked to go in at 4 today but his breathing was so laboured and he couldnt hold down any water we decided to bring him in early just so the pain would be gone. if you will allow me to i would like to tell you a little about my White Boy. We found him at a pet store in Huntsville and my wife, then girlfriend fell in love with him. We both still lived at home and i said there was no way i could have a dog...she called her folks and got the okay...so home he came. We didnt know what to call him at first and we had been discussing getting married so we decided on Diamond, and it also helped that he had a gorgeous blue eye. On our way back home to Oakville we stopped at some relatives in Coldwater and asked if they wanted to see Sandras engagement Diamond.....and promptly produced this little white bundle of energy. Though he was never overly affectionate i didnt mind, he was my dog! Training classes were interesting he wanted nothing to do with the other pups, wasnt aggressive just not interested. I could have not have asked for a better first dog. My morning coffee will never be the same, Diamond loved coffee, had to share a little with him every morning. He liked drinking from the pool and licking my shaved head when ever i would surface near the edge. The pool isnt going to be the same without him....GOOD BYE BUDDY I'll see you at the Bridge.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful memories with us.  I hope that they will make this journey more comforting; remembering how special Diamond is.
This is the most difficult part of being a responsible pet owner; but is is important to know when it is time to let they go.
Peace to you and your family.
Diamond has lots of great company.
