I just saw this on the website-and I think it's fabulous!  If I lived in TO I would go.  I also do ashtanga yoga in Hamilton, and I think it is the most amazing practice you can do for yourself.  Mentally and physically it is challenging, but so rewarding.  To put pug rescue in the mix is fantastic.  Anyone can do yoga-there are so many different variations for every pose.  It keeps you limber and feeling healthy and young.  I remember seeing Larry at David Swensons intermediate series workshop in TO last week-and to quote Swenson, it is a lifetime practice.  You'll have yoga goals you're entire life-just like we have goals for humane treatment towards animals.

Good job Larry!

I just came back from the Ashtanga Mela Gathering at the Kripalu Centre is Stockbridge, MA. David Swenson was there along with Toronto born Danny Paradise (yoga teacher to Sting and Paul Simon) and David Williams, the first non-India person to be taught the Ashatanga system.

I learned so much about how to begin the practice, avoid injury and feel great at the end of the session. I will be incorporating what I learned into my regular teaching sessions.

There about 70 people there, from around the world, David W, David S and Danny told their personal stories - each one taking a different evening session. By the end we all had a sense of community and history.
