She's bad that's why she's still going strong.

Right, right, just like the song says, "only the good die young"  Wink

Can we cut her some slack and say, "when she was good, she was very, very good but when she was bad, she was horrid"?  Cheesy

Well, bad is all relative.  She's a black pug girl--they all seem to have an edge to them.  Her owner says that Leila has a spare liver in her leg......

Thank you for the compliments, but I can't take any of the credit - it all goes to Leila.  I think it's Leila's zest for life (or her absolute insanity if you prefer) which helps her to continue to defy the odds.  She does appear to be calming down a little (stop laughing Blanche) and will even concede to being picked up for a cuddle - providing it's brief.  There is time enough to cuddle before bed, in the meantime there are toys to be played with and an older brother to pester relentlessly!

She might be a little nutbar, but she makes me laugh loudly and wholly everyday which makes it all worthwhile.  Infact, I wouldn't want her any other way!

However, a big shout out is due to both Blanche and Pugalug, because without them, my wierd and wacky Leila-Do wouldn't be here today.  So, I may not have said it before but I'm taking the time to say it now.  Thank you to everyone who donated to Leila's cause and sent positive thoughts her way; as a group you have given me the opportunity to share my life with a truly amazing and inspiring little dog.  Blanche - thank you for putting up with Leila's madness and nursing her back to health, after she came to you as such a poor, wee, sick little girl.  I really believe that without your patience and understanding, she likely wouldn't be here today.  Little did you know that under that frail frame was Leila-the-Loon: The Dog that Never Stops!!

Hee hee.  It's a pleasure to watch Leila the Loon.  Sure beats the pathetic little critter than first arrived and couldn't eat out of a bowl without falling into it because she was so ill.

And don't sell yourself short.  She's alive and kicking now because you take fabulous care of her....

Her story is the kind of thing that tells us that rescue work is so, so worth doing! It warms our hearts, to see her enjoying her life and adding joy to your own.
