So sad for your loss Lori. It'll be hard when you go to get him and finally bring him home. Praying for you to have the strength to move forward with your life without him by your side. Remember, that he got to live so long and with so much love and don't ever forget that...

I am just getting caught up now and found this. Oh Lori, I am so sorry for your incredible loss.  My heartfelt sympathies are with you.  Pugsley was a very lucky boy to have found such an amazing mom.  Run free Pugsley.

I went and picked up Pugsley at the Vet's today and brought him home.

Again one of theeeee most hardest things to do.....

however,
once he was back home,
it seemed as if myself, Bubs (especially) and Abi felt the
peace of it.
Bubs is still pacing and going from room to room but has
not made a "woo woo" in several days.

I have settled on planting an evergreen for my boy! Under any
evergreen tree was his favourite place in the whole world.
Especially a Christmas tree. He loved the crinkle, crinkle of the plastic
bag Mom usually put under the tree skirt and would go up to the
tree, take a deep breath of the fragrance, do a couple crinkle crinkle
turn arounds and plunk down. After that it was hard to budge the little
guy.

So in the summer the front yard will have a new tree in his honour!

Honey has her Rosa Rugosa and Shy has her yellow tree peony!

and thank you Deb & Pam Smiley it is never to late to send a few kind words!

Belated condolences.  Been watching Charlotte on the roller coaster of old age myself.  The car had been screaming downward for a while but magically it found another hill to climb.

sure hope Charlotte is okay and sending her big pug hugz from London Smiley

It is a rough roller coaster ride for sure and that is a very apt description!

Sounds like Twinkie. Always such a roller coaster with these oldies.

He had a wonderful life thanks to your love and care. I always enjoyed reading his escapades and will miss those stories. I'm sure he has found a cozy spot by the Bridge and is sleeping contentedly until he is reunited with you.

Lori!!  cry  I haven't been keeping up as I should.  I'm so sad to read this but he lived a good long life.  It's never easy to watch them go, been there many times.

Hugs to you and I'm thinking of you.

Lori, I just read this and I'm so sorry to hear about Sgt Pugsley!  I'll always always know him as Sgt Pugsley and my mom and I have talked about him everywhere we go.  My mom even mentioned him in a blog she does about pugs (in Chinese).  And I always remember him in that dear little RCMP costume.  What a great life he has had with the best owner in the world who cared so much for him and gave him the best of the best.  It is never easy saying goodbye to a best friend and it is always sad to realize that these friends stay with us for a much much shorter time than we want them to.  *hugs to you and the rest of the gang, Lori*.

Thank you Kim and Adrienne,

For your kind words! Pugsley touched many people in his short life.
Adrienne, give your Mom a hug from me. It makes me smile that Sgt. Pugsley is remembered so Smiley

I'm still not over this,
I was cleaning a closet and came across one of his jackets and I'm afraid I sat and cried for some time. It helps to read how he touched everyone! Thank you all Smiley
