We went to the eye vet and got his graft eye opened. It will be much easier for him, now. The cone will still be on for 4 weeks or so, but now he can manoeuvre a lot better.
Here's a picture of before the injury and today. The graft will calm down and the cloudiness will go away.


Eye grafts certainly aren't any fun.  Our Gertie had one done 5 years ago and the last few stitches only fell out a month or two ago.  We saw an odd circle in her eye and thought she had hurt it again but it turned out to be a loop of very fine thread.  Her graft is also much smaller now.

No, they aren't fun. Salvador had one, years ago and my foster Mack. Mookie's was tougher while the eye was shut, since his other eye has such poor vision.
That's odd about the stich staying in for so long, on Gertie.
